Ojai, Organic Blue Corn Chips and Agave-Sweetened Ginger Ale

Yep. Still here. Sitting with Ray in the Airstream, listening to KUSC broadcast  Beethoven’s 7th Symphony while we munch on blue corn chips and swig agave-sweetened ginger ale. Could I be any happier? Hard to say. Probably not. Maybe if my grandkids were here, but they are coming over tomorrow night for a sleep-over so life is feeling pretty complete right now.

I am enjoying being disconnected from the world for a couple of days. Yes, I am currently writing this on my phone, but other than that, there is no other media link besides radio to the outside world. (Usually I can steal Wifi from my neighbor to send my blog, but that wasn’t working today.) Also, for the most part I make an effort not to spend too much time on my phone while here, my blog post being the exception.

Ironically, I spent much of today thinking of the HBO series Rectified, which Ray and I just started watching. I must say it is superbly done, at least so far, and the acting is exceptional. Yes, here I am at the orange grove replaying scenes from Rectified in my head. Well, what can I say?  I am captivated by story.

The Beethoven just finished and there is now complete radio silence. Ray just asked, “Do you think the DJ went to sleep?”  Perhaps. Aw, he is now is back. At least a two minute silence. He sounds remarkably calm.

Okay, off to bed. Hope you all are well and happy. Breathing deeply and enjoying these simple pleasures.

Good night.
