The interior painting is finished at Peter’s house!
The “completion” prize goes to Ray Beaty who went up there today and finished up all the painstaking touch-up work. I, on the other hand, was home making spaghetti sauce with ground turkey along with pineapple upside down cake. This was done with the aid of baby Luna who demonstrated her skills at stirring cake batter when not engaged in putting her measuring spoons one-by-one into the two 16 ounce tomato cans that Grandma had just emptied, washed and given to her. Ray appeared to appreciate his reward for completing the painting work. He requested more sauce on his pasta, ate with gusto, then had two pieces of pineapple upside down cake. (A man gets an appetite when engaged in physical labor, after all.) Tomorrow, we’ll both be up at Peter’s staging all the rooms and also the outdoors furniture and plants. Saturday is the day we’ll be meeting the realtor so she can take pictures.
I am eager to have this aspect of handling Peter’s estate complete. We have lots of items to sell on eBay and we’re also having a big garage sale in a few weeks. That is Stage Two. Right now, it will feel good to have Stage One complete.
Thank you, Ray, for all your hard work today. Tomorrow, we should get lots done with our combined efforts, plus we have a hired helper coming, too.
As for now, I am headed for bed. We have lots of furniture to move tomorrow. I best rest up.
